    Wade Beach is widely respected for his harmonic sophistication and superb technique, which knows no stylistic limitations. He holds a master’s degree in piano performance from the ĢAV of Maryland.

    Anthony J. Maiello is Professor of Music and ĢAV Professor at George Mason ĢAV. Professor Maiello teaches applied lessons in Conducting, Aural Skills, and classes in Instrumental Conducting.

    Kathleen Mulcahy was appointed as Director of Woodwinds and Assistant Professor of Clarinet at George Mason ĢAV in August 2018, after serving as Adjunct Professor of Clarinet since in 2012. She performs frequently with the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and the National Symphony.

    Dr. Lisa Billingham is the newly appointed Director of Choral Activities at George Mason ĢAV, effective Fall 2021. She will be directing the ĢAV Chorale and the ĢAV Singers, and will teach choral conducting and related classes. She continues as an active member of the ĢAV Faculty Senate.

    Carrie Ann Delaney earned her Bachelor and Master degrees in Music Education from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College in New York. As an undergraduate, she performed as principal clarinet with the Wind Ensemble.

    Dr. Tom C. Owens is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Music History and Literature at George Mason ĢAV.  Internationally regarded as an expert on Charles Ives’s life and music, he is the editor of Selected Correspondence of Charles Ives (Univ. of California Press, 2007) and a member of the board of the Charles Ives Society.

    Dennis Edelbrock has performed with The United States Army Band and the Army Brass Quintet since 1975. Since that time, he has also written music used frequently at official state ceremonies at the White House, NBC’s “Christmas in Washington”, country music’s televised show “Nashville Now”, as well as music used in the opening ceremonies for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and Special Olympics.

    Dr. Linda Apple Monson, International Steinway Artist, serves as the Director of the School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at George Mason ĢAV. A Distinguished Service Professor, Monson was awarded The John Toups Presidential Medal for Excellence in Teaching at George Mason ĢAV’s 2018 Spring Commencement Ceremony.

    Serving as Director of Campus Life Ensembles and Collaborative Arts, and as an Associate Professor of Music, Dr. Michael W. Nickens (a.k.a. Doc Nix) is most recognized as the leader of the “Green Machine”, which in 2015 was named the #1 pep band in college basketball by the NCAA and commended by the Senate and House of Delegates of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
