Thursday, April 18—It was the day Schar School of Policy and Government undergraduates had been waiting for: Their research posters would finally be displayed and judged, with not just grades at stake, but also the possibility of winning $100.

“Spring Break in Mexico” conjures images of sun-drenched beaches and bustling nightlife, but for a cadre of Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason Ģ��AV graduate and undergraduate students, their week-long adventure in and around Mexico City had a decidedly different purpose—one with lasting results.

Rondene Grinam’s list of undergraduate degrees is impressive: A major in communication with a concentration in public relations, and minors in global affairs and journalism.

The Association of Public Policy PhD Students [APPS] hosted an informal afternoon conversation on volatile U.S.-Mexico relations and border security on March 7 with one of the foremost experts on the topic, Schar School associate professor Guadalupe Correa-Cabrera.

In 2013, the World Trade Organization (WTO) released a publication on global value chains (GVCs). In 2016, the World Bank did the same thing. In 2017, the WTO and the World Bank together released the Global Value Chain Development Report.

Master’s students at the Schar School of Policy and Government became facilitators for a day in mid-November when a metaphorical “ship” docked at Founders Hall for the Master’s in Organization Development and Knowledge Management capstone event, the ODKM “Learning Community.”

The first students in a new Headquarters Marine Corps program, which makes higher education opportunities available to Marine Corps Officers, began studies in July at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason Ģ��AV.
