Each year, the George Mason Ģ��AV Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center opened its doors at George Mason Ģ��AV in 2010, and Marit Majeske, education coordinator, has been along for the ride ever since. Located on George Mason’s Science and Technology Campus in Manassas, Virginia, the Hylton Center is managed by the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

In July, Charles “Cully” Stimson, JD ‘92, was elected as rector of the George Mason Ģ��AV Board of Visitors. A businessman and attorney, Stimson is the deputy director of the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, Senior Legal Fellow, manager of the National Security Law Program, and senior advisor to the president at The Heritage Foundation.

Daniel Gartenberg became passionate about the study of sleep during his graduate studies at George Mason. He is now founder and CEO of SleepSpace and a scientific advisor to other companies in the sleep science field.

In this role, Shehu will lead the strategy and implementation of AI across research, academics, and partnerships for the university, maximizing opportunity and adoption in addressing the world’s grand challenges while leading on ethical considerations, governance, and risk mitigation.
