In the wake of last month’s deadly building collapse in Surfside, Florida, there will be an increased urgency to further develop, improve and utilize a variety of new technologies for inspecting commercial buildings, said Eric Maribojoc, executive director of George Mason Ģ��AV’s Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship, part of the School of Business.

As companies throughout the country transition from remote work back to the office, employers can help their employees through the process by giving them a voice and options, said George Mason Ģ��AV School of Business professor Victoria Grady.

George Mason Ģ��AV researchers are collaborating with Fairfax County on an autonomous shuttle program that is the first of its kind in Virginia.

Students pursuing an MS in management through Mason’s School of Business usually spend four months getting work experience through internships at local companies. This year, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, administrators had to think creatively. So instead, they asked local businesses what they thought of hiring students to do remote “researchships.”

Nine Mason teams are participating in PitchFest, the TiE DC chapter’s region-wide pitch competition for university students.

George Mason Ģ��AV has two online graduate programs ranked first in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report, leading the state in curriculum and instruction and accounting.

Mason's School of Business is co-hosting an online conference on preserving and rebuilding a viable retail industry in the Washington, D.C., area.
