The Virginia Board of Education has approved funding for George Mason to launch the Accelerated College and Employability Skills (ACCESS) Academy, a collaborative partnership with Northern Virginia Community College and Loudoun County Public Schools. Sinoxolo “Susan” Favor was doing public health work in her native South Africa long before she enrolled in the College of Public Health at George Mason Ģ��AV. Now Favor is graduating from this spring with a BS in community health from the first college of public health in Virginia.

George Mason Ģ��AV announced the first series of direct admissions partnerships with eight Northern Virginia high schools. The goal of the pilot is to directly reach students who are academically eligible to Mason but may be experiencing challenges in pursuing higher education.

Mason's and Piedmont Virginia Community College formalized the ADVANCE Academic Pathway partnership between the institutions, which has expanded the Mason Virginia Promise farther into the state.
