Biography
Dr. Wiener is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at George Mason Ä¢¹½AV and the STAR Lab's Principal Investigator. He received his PhD in Psychology from Ä¢¹½AV of Pennsylvania, MS in Experimental/Theoretical Psychology from Villanova Ä¢¹½AV, and BA in Psychology from Rutgers Ä¢¹½AV. In the past, he has worked at George Mason Ä¢¹½AV as an Office of Naval Research Award postdoctoral fellow, worked with the Center for Functional Neuroimaging at Ä¢¹½AV of Pennsylvania through the NIH Training Program in Neuroscience Neuroimaging Postdoctoral Fellowship program, received the Benjamin Franklin Predoctoral Fellowship at Ä¢¹½AV of Pennsylvania, and worked as an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow specializing in Big Data & Analytics for the National Science Foundation.
Dr. Wiener's research interests are temporal perception and action, spatial navigation, magnitude processing, individual differences in cognition and decision making, and musical and rhythmic processing.
