Leila Austin has most recently been working in non-profit management in addition to teaching Global Political Economy, U.S. Foreign Policy and Research & Design Methodology as an adjunct professor.

Prior to that she was professorial lecturer in Global Theory and History and Middle East Studies at Johns Hopkins Ģ��AV’s School of Advanced International Studies (“SAIS”). Austin served as deputy director of Cultural Conversations at the Foreign Policy Institute at SAIS. She also managed a multi-year grant that launched the Global Politics and Religion Initiative at SAIS.

In addition, Austin teaches in the Global Security Studies department of Johns Hopkins Ģ��AV’s Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Ģ��AV of California’s campus in Washington, D.C. She has previously taught at the American Ģ��AV’s School of International Service, Georgetown Ģ��AV's Center for Arab Studies, and Columbia Ģ��AV’s School of International and Public Affairs.
