Biography
Avinash V. Mainkar is an instructional associate professor in the Costello College of Business at George Mason Ä¢¹½AV. Previously, he was an assistant professor of management at James Madison Ä¢¹½AV from 2000-06.
Mainkar received his PhD in strategic management from the Ä¢¹½AV of Connecticut, an MBA from Tulane Ä¢¹½AV, and B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
His co-authored research has been published or is forthcoming in Strategic Management Journal,ÌýAcademy of Management Review, and Journal of Management Education. Before starting his PhD, he worked in the industry in India from 1987-93.Â
