On Sept. 3, 2010, during Welcome Week, more than 1,200 George Mason Ä¢¹½AV students showed up to break the Guinness World Record for the world's largest dodgeball game. At the time the record—1,198 participants—was held by the Ä¢¹½AV of Alberta. Mason held the record for three weeks until the Ä¢¹½AV of California, Irvine broke the record with 1,745 participants. UC Irvine has held the record since its 2012 game, which drew 6,084 participants.
